E22. A simple probability problem

How many rolls of one fair die does it take, on average, before all six numbers show up? Make a guess and then see if you can figure it out.

I had the good fortunre to take probability 1 with Nobel laureate Robert J Aumann. One of the questions on the final exam was to calculate the expected number of offspring based on an interpretation of "multiply and be fruitful" whereby you stop when you have 2 sons and 2 daughters. This die problem is a very nice exercise in generalizing the principle.
